Wisdom vs the Shame of Sin

How should the Christian treat others, especially the less fortunate among us? For our first hour service, Pastor Simpson spoke regarding the pride of the wealthy in condemning and ridiculing the poor. 'God's people should be a humble people regardless of how much wealth they have', said Pastor Simpson, 'God hath raised some up and put some down according to His own sovereignty.' Pride comes from a wrong view of themselves. Consider yourself, are you thinking too highly of yourself? Has pride settled into your heart so that you've forgotten that the very God that has blessed you, may be the same God that might put you down? Repent, oh Christian! No true follower of Christ should exhale himself realizing that God hath given you a gift for which you did NOTHING to earn or merit!
