Spiritual Depression Part 5

Spiritual Depression is one of those areas of our flesh and sin that is crafty and can take many different forms. What are some?

As we examine Spiritual Depression we also need to recognize that the truth of Ephesians 6:12

There is no doubt that Spiritual Depression and the external things that bring us into a depressive state of mind are one of the tactics Satan takes on believers.

This is why James 1:2 Says 2 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials

This verse is written in the positive but we can look at it in the negative sense also. This means we can NOT live and think according to this FORM of Teaching

What does this mean? Why are we saying this? Thoughts?

The emphasis here is the wholeness of the Christian life and the balance of the Christian life.

The Christian life is a life where there is will, heart,emotion, and sensibility

Spiritual depression in the Christian life is often due to our failure to realize the greatness of the gospel.

Is the Gospel just for evangelism? Thoughts?

Sometimes we struggle with depression because our obedience is not true obedience

In addition to this sometimes we pursue the Word of God for intellectual knowledge

On the other side there are others who take the Gospel in the heart only. These people are all emotions.
