Defeating Defeatism

In conservative evangelical churches in Britain, the problem of defeatism is rife. What is the source of this crippling attitude? What can we do to counter our own tendency to give up in difficult times? Samson's example brings us encouragement, and the behaviour of God's own people brings us a clear warning. Will we give in to the powers that usurp the Lord Jesus of His rightful place as Lord of our lives, or will we trust Him and prove Him to be all that He has promised to be?
