Israel's Foolishness and Rebellion

In this sad chapter Israel demonstrates their foolish rejection of God's Word. First they refuse to do what God says (enter and possess the Land of Canaan) when they believed the evil report of the 10 spies; and then afterward, after God pronounces judgment and says return to the wilderness for 40 years, they say no, now we will enter in.

Coupled with this was the rebellion of Korah, Dathan and Abirum... except Moses and Aaron intercede and made atonement for them, the LORD would have destroyed them all.

We will see:

1. Learning to Live by the Word of the Lord
2. Suffering the Consequences for Sin
3. Rebelling against the Lord and His Leaders
