At War and In Peace

War can overtake you in unexpected places. Lot was overtaken, in part because of his love for his possessions. But God provided Abram to rescue him. Abram had wisely trained his servants, and pursued a just war. On his return he was blessed by Melchizedek, who as priest, king, and Abram's superior, foreshadowed Jesus Christ: priest, king, and head of the church.
