Proverbs 10:6-7

The righteous and the wicked don't wear nametags to identify themselves, but it's important for us to tell the two groups apart. Proverbs contrasts the fruit that these two groups bring forth. The righteous man receives covenantal favor from God, and leaves a legacy of blessing that is worthy of imitation. The wicked man uses false words to conceal his violent heart, and leaves a name that “will rot.”
