Responding To Love; Obedient By Desire

Romans 7 is our burial under a tyranny of Laws and Romans 8 is our Resurrection and life under the New Law for the New man...called the absolute governing principle of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus…that set us free from the absolute governing principle of sin and death.
God did what the law could not do…he made us righteous by condemning sin in the flesh of his Righteous Son (1 Pet 3:18)…all the Law could do was condemn man to death.
In Rom 7:1-6 The Old Husband is the Mind of the Old Man …The New Husband is the Mind of the New man
In both instances the wife is the “Body” obligated to obey the authority of the mind and will of the Husband
In the marriage analogy You are the Husband and the Wife!
The Old Man was a TYRANT…forcing the body to obey the dictates of the mind in accordance with desires of spiritual death
The New man is a different kind of Husband evoking desire and voluntary obedience by the initiation of love
The Old man was executed by Crucifixion because of sin… under the death sentence of the Law
Ezekiel 18:4 The Soul who sins will die.
The Old Man though He is dead and buried is kept alive in the memory as though he were still calling the shots ….and he is NOT.
