1 John 2:15-17: Do Not Love the World

Sometimes in Scripture we receive warnings of what we ought not to do. The Holy Spirit uses such warning passages as one method of preserving His saints.

In this passage, John commands us not to love the world. In this message, I ask and answer the questions, What does it look like when individuals love the world? and What does it look like when the church loves the world?

Instead of loving the world, we are to be the salt of the earth. In so doing we can love the Father instead of loving the world, and by abiding in the vine, Jesus Christ, we will bear much fruit.
