Depression

"...May your days be merry and bright..."

While the nice wishes of this Christmas song are well-intended, they frankly do not fuly represent a well-rounded life. A normal life encounters sunshine and rain. Struggles occur, losses happen, sadness can set in, and sometimes this sadness develops into a debilitating depression. Depression has been named "the malady of the 21st century", with nearly 1 in 4 Americans suffering from it
during their lifetime. Chances are high that you or a family member or friend will experience it. Is there help other than mind-altering drugs and psych couches?

The Bible teaches us that the enemy's plan of attack is to target our minds first, and set our emotions on shaky ground. Interestingly, there are many cases of people suffering depression in the Bible. We will study their stories and discover underlying causes and
solutions.

God would have us live joyful lives with sound minds, and teaches us how to do that in His Word. Join us as we study this very relevant topic.
