James 2:8-26 | Lesson 6
Series 2017 Revisit of James
We are saved not by what we do, but by grace through faith. Not by grace plus works. "A man is justified by faith alone, not by a faith that is alone” - Martin Luther. If people say they believe in God but their life does not back it up, then we and they must question their salvation. No one is going to be justified by keeping the law and no one is going to be saved by their good works. We cannot save ourselves by our good deeds, we are only saved by grace through faith, the free gift of God. If our faith does not show up in daily life, it is not the real deal. If our faith does not express itself in obedience to God it is phony. Our background before receiving God’s grace through faith in Christ, should not be our future after receiving salvation through Christ.
