Revival's Purpose and Power

The great need that Isaiah foresaw among the people of Judah was for the dramatic intervention of God so that the marvellous things that they had never expected to see would come to pass, and the people would be restored to the right relationship with their God. It is a cry for revival. The best efforts of the people amount to nothing more than filthy rags in God's sight. In the midst of apostasy and theological darkness, the only hope of the people lies in the powerful intervention of God Himself.
