Gifts to Build a New Society

Having begun to reform the Roman Christian's ideas on significance in the Christian society toward the use of spiritual gifts, Paul now turns to specific actions that undergird the use of these gifts. All these actions are rooted in the Old Testament command expressed as 'love your neighbor as yourself'. Paul's appeal is that a genuine love for other Christians results in specific expressions and results in sober thinking within the church.
