Sons of Abraham

Jesus explains to the religious leaders that the descendents of Abraham are those who do the work of Abraham, and the work of Abraham is to receive and obey the Word of the Lord. The Pharisees of the day hated the words and teaching of the Lord revealing that they were sons of the Devil. Those in the church are called to examine their own sonship and discern to which family they belong.
