Sorrow, Repentance and Joy

1. Pastoral fear.
   The Apostle burdened as to how his letter to the Corinthians would be received.

2. Pastoral joy.
   The effects and fruits were good and cause for rejoicing.

3. Godly sorrow is more than remorse.
   Godly sorrow produces a right view of sin - no true faith without repentance - the nature of evangelical repentance - carnal fears and sorrows concerning sin fall short of repentance.

4. The fruit of repentance.
   True repentance evidenced in speech and conduct.
