Mark 13: The Destruction of Jerusalem and the New Reality

Pastor Jon teaches on the real meaning of Jesus' Olivet Discourse as found in the Gospel of Mark, chapter 13. Many in the evangelical community hear Jesus' words about tribulation, and of seeing "the Son of Man coming in the clouds", as predictive of Christ's second eartlhy coming. Pastor Jon explains that Jesus' words properly refer to earthly events that have already happened: Specifically, the destruction of the Jerusalem temple, and of the city itself, about AD70. Christ's second earthly coming, the parousia, is still in the future.
