A True Heart of Assurance

In light of the effectual sacrifice of Christ, the apostle exhorted to "draw near...hold fast...consider one another". Alone, the exhortation will fall short. The apostle recognized that and stated: "he is faithful that promised". In other words, The God who promised salvation, effectuated salvation, revealed salvation and will preserve in salvation. There is the fertile soil for "a true heart of assurance".
