Jesus Came to Call Sinners

For our first hour of worship, Pastor David Simpson preached the Gospel from Luke 5:1-39 identifying who the Lord Jesus came to save and whom He didn’t. The Word of God says that the Lord came to call sinners unto salvation and not the righteous. So, clearly, the sovereignty of God chooses/elected to call ONLY the sinners having left alone the righteous to themselves. Pastor Simpson preached how Christ came to save Biblical sinners and save His chosen elect. If a man believes there is one thing within himself that could save himself than he is not a sinner as described by the Word of God, and can neither be a Biblical believer.
