The first wine typified the law in Judaism. The "god wine" symbolized Christ and His gospel. Its abundance declared the completeness of Christ's saving efficacy. The wondrous miracle, John said, "manifested forth His glory". As Jesus began at a wedding, He will receive His bride at the "marriage of the Lamb" (Revelations 19:7). Between, He earned righteousness and redeemed His people.
