Jesus' High-Priestly Prayer - Personal Petitions

Jesus concluded His instruction in the Upper Room with a prayer in the hearing of His apostles. His prayer was the capstone of all that He'd told them that night and He intended that they would be encouraged and strengthened by it. Much of the prayer was intercessory, but Jesus began by lifting to His Father a couple of petitions on His own behalf.
