The 21st Century Reformation of the Church

As the Christian church in Europe and America fades away, it appears that the church has become irrelevant and powerless to impact cultures. There are powerful voices leading movements that are determined to see reformation brought about in the next century. But there is little unity in these discussions even as the most conservative denominations debate fundamental doctrines. There is little agreement on the antithesis and the reformation agenda.

Will the next reformation constitute a return to high church worship or low church worship? Will it be marked by a return to the King James Version Bible and exclusive psalmnody? Or will faithful subscription to some previously-issue creed or confession (such as Nicea or Westminster) be sufficient to take on the antithesis that has decimated the church in the modern age? What will set a positive direction for a theo-centric epistemology, worship, and life? Is our reformation principle fundamental enough, and are our applications of sufficient weight to incarnate the principle?
