Sacred Space in Promise: The Aaronic Priesthood

The Sinai Covenant formally established the Father-son relationship between God and Israel promised to Abraham centuries earlier. Yahweh would be the God of Israel and dwell among them as their covenant Father-King. Toward that end He first provided to Moses His prescription for a sanctuary, and then a priesthood by which His relationship with Israel was to be mediated. This sermon examines that priesthood, its role in the Israelite theocracy, and, most importantly, its contribution to God's ultimate purpose to recover sacred space in Jesus Christ - the singular Seed of Abraham, sanctuary of the Most High, and High Priest.
