Out of Nothing

We commence a new series through 1 Samuel this week. Starting with Chapter 1 we see how God makes something out of nothing. In fact, as Hannah's life shows us, God works best when there is seemingly nothing at all to work with. At the heart of this book is the truth that "the LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart." Appearances can be deceiving. Even when all seems lost, the Lord is working his good and sovereign purposes in all things.
