Purpose: The purpose of this section was to set the tone for the entire gospel account and to convince Theophilus that the details regarding Christ's life and ministry were fully reliable and should be trusted.
Proposition: God wants us to see the account of the details of the gospel as a reliable record, not a sentimental tradition.
