Three Questions for Your Ministry

In the world of professional sports, athletes know what is expected of them, and none trains without a knowledge of where the finish line is. Similarly, nothing less is expected of runners in the Christian race. The tasks we have been given by our Savior and the goals we are to accomplish are too important to be vague. Life is too short, souls are too precious, God's commands are too great, and God's Glory is too essential for there to be any confusion in how we minister, what our goal is, and where our enablement comes from. Sadly, there are many Christians confused about their goal on earth. Thankfully, Paul was not. He described his mission in Colossians 1 from whence we will get an insight into the Christian ministry. From his letter to the Colossians, we will see the PURPOSE, POWER and PRACTICE of the Christian ministry.

Each of us has a God-given ministry that we are responsible for. We have to make sure that we are doing that ministry in a Biblical way.

Three Questions to Help You Examine Your Ministry

  1. What is the practice of your ministry? (Colossians 1:28a)
  2. What is your purpose for ministry? (Colossians 1:28b)
  3. Where is your strength for ministry? (Colossians 1:29)
