Faith in the Framing of the Worlds

What does the Bible teach about the origin of the world? How do we come to a knowledge of these things? Can we be sure that the world was created in six days? Does it really matter in the end?

This text tells us that it is important. With the same faith in which we believe in Christ, we believe that the worlds were framed by God speaking, and things coming into existence out of nothing.

SERMON OUTLINE:

"Faith in the Framing of the Worlds"

 I.   The Content of this Faith
           A.   “The worlds were framed by the Word of God.”
           B.   “Things which are seen, were not made of things which do appear.”
 II.  The Character of this Faith.
           A.   This faith is a spiritual gift, a part of salvation.
           B.   This faith is the same faith described in v. 1, so has as its object Christ Jesus.
 III. The Certainty of this Faith.
           A.   We “understand” something without a doubt.
           B.   This is the faith of our children too.
