Why was there a Veil in the Temple?

Why was the veil put up? It was absolutely necessary! Man has become too familiar with God! This is the most Holy God! Man has made a covenant with death! Holiness comes from the holy spirit . The whole duty of man is to worship God. How amazing that man would just come before God anyway!!Man is dead in trespasses and sins. How can he enter into the most Holy? Even a priest could not go directly to the mercy seat. Only God can take an unclean thing and make a clean thing!!
