Salvation for Believers

We know that we are saved from the power of sin and death only by the grace of God. But by the Spirit of God, Paul instructed Timothy to save his hearers. Christians are already saved. He was to deliver them from the attacks of the evil one. He was to do this by authoritative instruction as Jesus had given; by his example in life; and by impressing on them their need to be diligent in seeking Christ.
