Discipline Yourself to Be Godly

Salvation is by grace but we are taught that godliness comes through discipline. It is not for lazy people. It does not just happen. If you belong to Christ then you have an obligation to draw near to Him, saying ‘no’ to all sorts of sin. But you are encouraged to exert yourself to be godly because it has value both for the present and eternally and because our hope is in the living God.
