Living Into the Gospel

One cannot live the Christian life except to the extent that he understands what it means to be a Christian. And, to the extent that the Church has lost (or even abandoned) the biblical "good news," Christians have been left to flounder according to a flawed definition and way of being Christ's people. The reduction of the gospel to an individualistic "salvation formula" has born its rotten fruit in a Christian community largely characterized by independence, autonomy, self-preoccupation and self-seeking.
