Testosterone Gospel Part 1: Exposition of Galatians 1:1-5

1)The Apostle Paul was supernaturally granted his Apostleship by the Lord Jesus Christ. (Galatians 1:1; Acts 9:1-22)

2)Paul was writing to the Roman Province of Galatia. Even though the Galatians were infiltrated by Judaizers, Paul still greets them as brothers in Christ. (Galatians 1:2,3; 1 Corinthians 1:1-9)

3)Paul opens the Epistle to the Galatians by referencing a central doctrine of the Christian faith. Jesus Christ’s substitutionary atonement is at the heart of the Christian faith. Paul launches an opening salvo against the Judaizers at Galatia, reminding them Jesus is the author of our salvation from beginning to end. (Galatians 1:4,5; Isaiah 53)
