1 John 1:1-4 (1 John 1:1-10)

The First Part of Chapter One (vs. 1-4):

A. The Word of Life – Heard, Seen & Touched (v. 1-2)

1. The Invisible became visible (v. 1)

• The Eternal Word – The 2nd Person of the Godhead (John 1:1)
  • Took on the Very Nature of Man, Not Phantom (Jn. 1:14)

2. The Manifested Word of Life Declared (v. 2)
   • The Source of Life, as Creator (Acts 17:25)
   • The Source of Spiritual Life, as Redeemer/Savior (Eph. 2:1-3; John 11:25-26)

B. The Reason the Word of Life/Eternal Life was Declared (v. 3)

· Fellowship (Amos 3:3)
- With One Another
- With the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ

  C.   The Purpose  - Fullness of Joy in the Lord (v. 4)

Conclusion and Application
· Do You Have the Fullness of Joy in the Lord?
· Has Doubt & Unbelief Robbed You of that Joy found in Christ Alone?
· Repent and Put Your Trust In the Word of Life, Eternal Life, with the Full Assurance that the Testimony of Apostle is True and Salvation Assured through Christ Jesus – He is the “Real Deal”!
