The Secret to Staying Humble

What does Paul mean when he says, “I am the very least of all the saints”? Did Paul believe that he had not made any progress, that he was as bad in his practice as ever?

Seeing Jesus as He is reminds us of what we are without Him and how miserable we are compared to Him. But for the true believer it also reminds us of His loving mercy and amazing grace, and it frees us to live by faith in our efforts to please Him.

You have to feel the conviction of sin to keep you humble, and you have to feel the call of grace to keep you hungry.
