Work And The Sabbath

The Sabbath is a creation ordinance. Some some say observance of it has been fulfilled in Christ and is no longer binding on Christians. Is that true?

What is often overlooked in the Fourth Commandment is the commandment to work. Work is not part of the curse -- the command to work was given to Adam before the Fall. Idleness is sin; standing water breeds all sorts of diseases.

Not working is robbing God (Mal. 3:8). How will you bring your tithes and offerings if you do not work?

All the work you do, the work done by all of God's people throughout the ages, is being coordinated by Him in one grand purpose: to bring all things under the Lordship of Christ (I Cor. 15:24-28).
