The Creation of the World

Dr. John Whitcomb, speaking at the Rice Lecture Series held at Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary in the winter of 2007, begins this first message by briefly rehearsing the history and overview of the modern scientific creationism movement. He gives all glory to Jesus Christ, the Creator of the world, and points the powerful young minds who were originally listening to him to dedicate themselves to studying the Scriptures for answers about ultimate origins. “Evolution collapses under the force of the time block pressure of Genesis 1,” he says. Dr. Whitcomb explains that the God of the Bible is not the god of evolutionism or even the Intelligent Design Movement. Further, he shows that sharing faith in Christ is the only real way to convince an evolutionist of the truth of Biblical creationism.
