Putting On The Breastplate Of Christ

The imagery that Paul uses for the Whole Armour of God comes from the Roman soldier of his day, and yet, it is also drawn from Old Testament Evangelical Prophecy. Specifically from Isaiah 59:17, which speaks of the Messiah putting on righteousness as a breastplate. This reveals to us that this breastplate is 'The Righteousness of Christ':

2. It Originates From A Living Faith
3. It is Expressed By A Genuine Obedience
