Delivered from wrath

If we promised someone deliverance from disease, from Covid-19, you would hope that they would jump at it. And yet we know from bitter experience that too many people neglect a way of escape from danger even when the danger is pressing and the deliverance is pressed. The same is true spiritually.

Here we consider that there is a wrath to come, God's righteous judgment against sin. However, there is also deliverance from the wrath to come, because of God's mercy and grace. Finally, we need to understand that this deliverance comes only through Jesus Christ, God's Son, whom he raised from the dead.
