Ministers of the Spirit

There is an ever-present danger within ministry of emphasizing the the word of God to the neglect of the work of the Spirit. Every Christian is a minister, of the Spirit, through the Word. We can do the work of the word and do so in the flesh, but to be effective ministers of the new covenant requires that we have a proper order: the work of the Spirit through the Word. To be trinitarian is to proclaim Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and not Father, Son, and Holy Bible. We cannot to the work of the work apart from the Spirit, and we dare not attempt to do the work of the Spirit, apart from the Word.
