Why Alt-Right Res is All Wrong

570

By their own admission very few people had even heard of the alt-right, much less any of the names, organizations or websites listed in this lengthy and confusing explanation.
The question is, why create a resolution to vote on something few have even heard of?

Why not just have a resolution against racism in general?
Has there ever been a resolution rejecting Black Lives Matter (a form of racism that is much more well known?

In my view, the alt-right resolution was a very complicated but clever way, to throw a bone to the PC cultural elites (who some in the SBC seem so eager to please), and to backhand those in the SBC who dared to vote for Trump over the objections of Russell Moore.

Trump? you say. "Where does Trump come into this?"
Note: alt-right, in the definition provided by the ERLC, ultimately leads to Trump via Steve Bannon "CEO of the Trump Campaign".

In doing this, in this way, the ERLC has actually done little or nothing to reduced racism and they have increased the division within the SBC.
