The Great Commission and the Triune God

Christ commanded his church to go forth and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, that is, in the name of the triune God. Each of the three persons of the one God plays a crucial role in saving God's people: the Father sends, the Son goes, and the Holy Spirit helps. As the church, all of us as a body need to be sending, going, and/or helping. Thus God's will to save a people for himself will be accomplished.
