Just as Aaron Was

God alone chooses His instruments. No one that He chooses is worthy in any way of the calling placed on his life, of the fact of his own choosing. Aaron was called, and failed at his calling just as we so often fail. Jesus was called and succeeded in His calling like no one before Him ever did, and like no one after Him ever will. We have all that we have by our participation in the triumph of Jesus. It is His work alone that is our hope.
