The Doctrine of Fellowship 10

2. Fellowship is our responsibility to grow in the grace of Christ.
   e. Fellowship trains us to recognize the impact we have on each other (2 Thes 3:6-9)
   • Our training is established by the Lord for His family [Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,]
   • This training sets us apart from those who do not obey the Lord's commands
   [that you keep away from any brother who is walking in idleness]

• This training establishes the pattern by which we are to live [and not in accord with the tradition that you received from us.]

o Training MUST be In keeping with the Scripture's mandates Training MUST be practical [because we were not idle when we were with you]
o Training MUST be grounded in personal responsibility [nor did we eat anyone's bread without paying for it,]
o Training MUST be in keeping with the Scripture's mandates [[but with toil and labor we worked night and day]
o Training MUST be for the benefit of others [that we might not be a burden to any of you]

• This training is intended to be taught by example [It was not because we do not have that right, but to give you in ourselves an example to imitate.]
