God's People Need a Shepherd

I. God's People Suffer because they have no Shepherd 10:1-3a

II. God Himself will Empower His People 10:3b-7

v. 3b -- They will be like a His royal horse – a majestic steed	

v. 4 – a Messianic promise

Here, again we see, Messiah will come from the Tribe of Judah – as it was prophesied in Genesis 49:10 and Micah 5:2. Jesus Christ is the chief cornerstone. Isaiah 28:16;
1 Peter 2:6-10. He is also called the “tent peg” and the “battle bow” (9:13).

v. 5 -- He fights for us.
        
v. 6-7 – He will strengthen Judah and Northern Israel.  (Judah and Joseph)
