Secure saints

Here is a promise for the road: that the Lord will command his angels to keep each of his people in all their ways. We need to remember that the ways of the righteous are intended—not presumptuous, sinful, carnal, arrogant, wilful ways. The Lord keeps us in the paths of humble faith, principled obedience, simple trust, deliberate holiness, and genuine pursuit of God's glory. These ways, though pleasant in themselves, are dangerous because of the different dangers, particular enemies, and varied circumstances of the saints. Nevertheless, the ways of the righteous are secure, because of the Lord's personal concern, the heavenly host, the complete oversight, the tender strength and the covenant bond which make for our safety. This should leave the child of God living a happy, humble, holy and hearty life.
