The Unquiet Sword

History seems often a matter of waves, of swords, of nations overrun, nations rising and falling. Jeremiah saw in the destruction of the Philistines by the Babylonians the sword of the Lord at work, and it moved him to cry out "How long?" In this sermon w consider the sword of the Lord in history, the judgement of nations, and the only propitiation for sin.
