Hope for those driven to despair

125

There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us, Psalm 4:6.

In 1 Kings 16 we read of Zimri who conspired against Elah, the reigning king and took over the throne of Israel.

However things did not go the way he wished and when he saw that life was turning against him he killed himself by burning down the king's palace with himself inside.

Zimri is an example of the truth of this text. There are multitudes in this world who are driven to despair in one way or another.

Sadly, for many the despair is so great and deep that they contemplate, and many succeed in, taking their own lives.

The cry of their hearts is: who will show us any good? Who will tell us where to find true contentment and satisfaction?

There is hope for the multitudes driven to despair. We will discover that the second part of this text is the answer to the first part.
