Final Imperatives

Paul wraps up his letter with a series of imperative commands (verbs). He begins with congregational attitudes towards those who lead them and continues with attitudes of the congregation towards ministering to the weak and faint. In all, the church is commanded to be at peace with one another. 1 Thessalonians is yet another New Testament epistle with an emphasis on the "one-another" focus of the local church. God greatly desires that there be peace between each one of us, and this may be our greatest eternal work in bringing glory to His name.
