PRIORITIES FOR THE CHURCH GATHERING

A) An overarching Exhortation vs 1

Four principles to consider when we meet as a church.
 
1> Engage the Mind

Therefore when the church is gathered:
a) We must pray unto edification
b) We must sing unto edification
c) We must speak unto edification

2> The Church is not for Evangelism

Principles:
The church gathering is not primarily for outsiders.

The church liturgy should not be arranged to be the central evangelistic and outreach activity of the church.

Concomitantly and conversely, the church gathering should be primarily designed to enable the instruction and edification of believers.

3> Worship must be done in an orderly fashion

4> Remember who sets the rules in church
