The Superiority of Christ's Priesthood

The perfection required to be in the presence of God who is holy is only possible because of, and by means of, Jesus Christ. His qualifications for the priesthood He carries out is only possible because of who He is and the perfect sacrifice He made of Himself for all sin of all people for all time. His priesthood is permanent as He, after making the sacrifice and returning to the right hand of God the Father, continues to intercede for believers as the one and only Mediator between God and man. As God established this new Priest and order of priesthood there too has been put in effect the new and better covenant. With such the old covenant and all of the laws of that system are no longer in effect for the people of God.
