The Five Points of Calvinism #2 Unconditional Election

We continued our study of the Five Points of Calvinism by looking at the Second point... Unconditional Election. As we studied Romans 9:6-24, we didn't want to argue with the text of Scripture, but we did want to understand Paul's argument. He anticipates doubting or questioning responses and addresses them. I think it is most important to remember the Creator/creature distinction. God is God and is not subject to our sense of justice or fairness. As the Psalmist says, He does what pleases Himself.

We look at these verses in three points: 1. The Simple Fact of Election
2. The Divine Justness of Election
3. The Human Responsibility in this Election.
