A Hopeful Unity

God gives us a challenging assignment through his servant Paul - to bear the weaknesses of our weaker brethren. We must think of pleasing them rather than pleasing ourselves. Three strong encouragements are given to help us tackle this assignment: the example of Christ, the encouragement of the Scriptures, and God Himself as the source of perseverance and hope. The desired result is unity of mind and heart and purpose.
